Abstract

The complete $O({\ensuremath{\alpha}}_{s})$ QCD corrections to the decay process ${H}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\overline{u}}_{i}{d}_{j}$ of a charged Higgs boson are calculated for an arbitrary up-type quark mass while treating the down-type quark as massless. In the leading-logarithmic approximation, the QCD corrections to the decay rates can be conveniently expressed in terms of the running masses. The corrections decrease the charged-Higgs-boson decay width, as in the case of the standard-theory neutral-Higgs-boson decay.
