Abstract
In abelian and non-abelian Higgs models with a Chern-Simons terms, we show that even in the absence of the Higgs mechanism, there exist solutions of finite energy, flux, charge and angular momentum, which may be interpreted as Q-balls of an unbroken local gauge theory.
