Abstract
Famotidine and omeprazole are the drugs used in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. The current work is an analytical method for the simultaneous determination of famotidine and omeprazole and is based on the Q-absorption method and Vierodt’s method. These two methods depend on the isosbestic point and the ?max of one of the two components. The isosbestic point was found to be 295 nm in ethanol. 287nm and 301nm are the ?max of famotidine and omeprazole respectively. The method is validated as per ICH guidelines.
