Abstract

Abstract Simultaneous determination of the atomic ratio between C, H, O, and N in a metallo-organic compound containing transition element is possible by the pyrolytic sulfurization gas chromatographic method, addition of reducing agent being unnecessary. Analytical results of metallo-organic compounds depend on the characteristics of their metal oxides. A few organophosphorus compounds were analyzed. The formation of water could be predicted from the atomic ratio of carbon to oxygen in a compound.
