Abstract

Introduction: Achieving rapid reperfusion of the infarct related artery by shortening the door to balloon time (D2B) to 70 years (elderly), 50-70 years (middle aged) and those < 50 years (young). Results: The overall average and individual groups D2B times were well within the recommended 90 minutes, yet the elderly group of patients had a statistically significant longer D2B time compared to the younger population (by 9.95 minutes p 1⁄4 0.019).
