Abstract
Single crystal Pd nanorods and Pd fractal patterns were successfully synthesized by ultraviolet irradiation-induced reduction of PdCl2 solution, using the micelle of 3 wt% PVA as template. The results of transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed that the concentration of Pd2+ has a significant influence on the morphology of the products. It is expected that other materials' nanorods and fractal patterns could be synthesized by this method.
