Abstract
The point is this: the image of Armchair Theatre is really basically cockeyed. People seem to remember it as a lot of kitchen sinkery. It’s a lot of nonsense. We did a musical called ‘His Polyvinyl Girl’ ... we did murder mysteries, we did romances ... but underlying them all was a kind of a truth and a kind of an energy.
