Abstract
The aspiration or push-pull technique for congenital cataract extraction without iridectomy has been well accepted.1-4However, poor preoperative pupillary dilatation has been considered an indication for full iridectomy superiorly and vertical iridotomy inferiorly.5,6A large corneal section is thus required, and one of the major advantages of the push-pull technique is thereby eliminated; viz, its atraumatic nature.
