Abstract

Samarinda's Karang Mumus River Education Center is a river rehabilitation learning center conducted by the Komunitas Gerakan Memungut Sehelai Sampah (GMSS SKM). The purpose of GMSS isheld facilities to educate the public so as to restore the condition, function, use of the Karang Mumus River for a good and healthy environment and the welfare of the community, animals and natural living space. The program is carried out from socialization and community empowerment that will encourage the community, academics, and city migrants to care about the river environment. Through an ecological architectural approach that is expected so that the community can capture from the GMSS's objectives of seeing, understanding, increasing awareness for the environment, and having active actions in maintaining the river.
