Abstract

The screening in column liquid chromatography of several reversed phase silica gels with various mobile phases was studied for the purification of thymosin α-1. Loading studies on analytical columns were developed and transposed to the preparative scale with a thymosin α-1 injection concentration of 1 g L−1. To obtain thymosin α-1 with a purity higher than 98%, a local pre-concentration was applied at the head of the column.
