Abstract

A procedure is described for the purification of dihydroxy acid dehydratase from both the soluble and mitochondrial fractions of Neurospora homogenates. The purified preparations are highly active and appear to be quite homogeneous. The recovery of enzyme from either the soluble or mitochondrial fraction is about 20%. The enzyme preparations from the soluble and mitochondrial fractions were observed to have many similarities.
