Abstract

Abstract My starting point is the contrast between sociologists’ and legal theorists’ approaches to the relationship between poverty and criminal justice. I comment on the form often taken by legal arguments, state the problem as Ia sociologist--see it, and suggest some possibilities for reconstructing the indigence/justice relationship.
