Abstract
The University of St Andrews is Scotland's oldest university and one of the UK's most prestigious academic establishments, having educated many members of the country's government and royal family. The university has experienced considerable growth in recent years and to accommodate this expansion it has just completed its largest-ever construction project, replacing an ageing student hall campus with 12 purpose-built accommodation blocks consisting of 764 beds. The new buildings utilise 68 building services pumps on various duties including domestic water supply and underfloor heating.
