Abstract

The 2011 Pump Industry Awards Gala Dinner was held in Coventry, UK on Wednesday the 23 March. An excellent turnout witnessed the rewarding of companies, innovations and people that have achieved the highest standards and helped drive the pump industry forward. Held in association with the British Pump Manufacturers Association and World Pumps, the awards are designed to endorse the best practice within the UK Pump Industry in the areas of supply, manufacture, and most importantly – innovation. Factors such as customer service, energy saving initiatives, industry recognition, technical expertise and companies' manufacturing capabilities are all assessed. Here we give the background to some of the prize winners.
