Abstract

• Three patients with pyoderma gangrenosum were treated with suprapharmacologic doses of methylprednisolone sodium succinate using a five-day pulse therapy regimen. This therapy produced a dramatic remission with minimal side effects. The effects of pulse therapy are reviewed, and its role in severe steroid-responsive dermatoses is discussed.
