Abstract

Experimental results are reported on the time dependence of the second harmonic intensity, which is emitted by a spin system in the presence of a step-modulated pump power, near the double-quantum (DQ) resonance. The results of a semiclassical calculation show that the experimental curves reproduce the time evolution of the spin system from the thermal equilibrium state toward the stationary state, saturated by the DQ transitions.
