Abstract
1. The pulse radiolysis method was used to study the reaction rate of Np(VI) with O− in aqueous alkaline solutions. The rate constants of the reaction in LiOH and NaOH solutions were determined. 2. The rate constant for the reduction of Np(VII) by Np(V) is independent of the LiOH concentration. The reduction proceeds more slowly in NaOH solutions.
