Abstract

Pulse propagation in a medium whose dispersion-dissipative properties correspond to the presence of relaxation mechanisms in the medium, whose relaxation times form a spectrum of the form g (ρ) ~ 1ρ, is considered. In the case of small velocity dispersion an exact solution is obtained for the pulse shape and it is shown that it is equivalent to the description of pulse propagation in a medium with “Ei-rmmemory”.
