Abstract
A versatile stand-alone pulse programmer is described. Sequences of essentially unlimited complexity, subject to a timing restriction discussed in the text, are programmed in software. Time intervals are software specified and digitally derived with 1-μsec resolution. Simplicity, low cost (⪅$200), and speed of implementation were prime criteria in the design.
