Abstract
This paper presents a pulse induction parking sensor, which measures the induced voltage generated by the presence of a vehicle. The parking information can be then shared into a network to inform the drivers about the on-street parking availability. According to our preliminary tests, this parking sensor is 100% reliable thus detecting all the car departure/arrival events. A parking sensor prototype was implemented and experimental results obtained during field tests are reported.
