Abstract
Negative magnetic relaxation (S< 0) can be observed in pulsed field magnetization of superconducting single-domain annuli (rings of rectangular cross section) under certain conditions. The radial distributions of the local temperature and of the trapped magnetic field were investigated when the negative relaxation is realized. The relaxation rates calculated from these data are in a good agreement with the observed values. Numerical calculations show that the negative relaxation is realized due to the radial temperature gradient.
