Abstract

We describe the temporal compression of pulses from a diode pumped Nd:YLF additive-pulse mode-locked laser. Pulses at both the fundamental (1.047 μm) and second harmonic (523.5 nm) wavelengths of the Nd:YLF laser are compressed using either a fibre grating or a fibre prism compressor. Pulses as short as 250 fs are generated at 1.047 μm and 523.5 nm with peak powers as high as 4 kW.
