Abstract
The problem of pulsatile flow of a fluid, containing small solid particles, through a two-dimensional constricted channel is studied in view of its importance in arteriosclerosis. A perturbation solution is sought in terms of the slope of the channel. The effects of mass concentration of dust particles on the streamline pattern, axial velocities of the fluid and solid particles, shear stress and pressure distribution are studied.
