Abstract

Conventional management for immature permanent teeth with necrotic pulps is usually apexification, which poses potential complications including arrest of root development, weakened dentinal wall, and increased risk for fracture. Pulp revascularization is a new approach that allows for continued root development and thickening of the lateral dentinal walls. The purpose of this report was to present the pulp revascularization of two immature permanent maxillary incisors with necrotic pulps. At 27-month follow-up, evidence of continued root development with apical closures, as well as an increase in dentinal wall thickness, was observed.
