Abstract
Endobronchial metastasis is found in 2-5% of patients at autopsy who die from extrathoracic cancer. Malignant melanoma has a tendency to metastasize to the lung during the course of tumor growth, but endobronchial metastasis is rare. We report a case of pulmonary metastatic malignant melanoma with endobronchial involvement presenting with cough and hemoptysis, which was diagnosed by fiberoptic bronchoscopy with bronchial biopsy. The specific bronchoscopic picture highlights the value of bronchoscopy in the differential diagnosis of endobronchial tumor. The relevant literature is reviewed, including clinical manifestations, image presentations, diagnosis, and treatment options.
