Abstract
Objective Pulmonary hamartoma is a rare clinical disease, but it′s one of the cause of massive hemoptysis.The study is to improve the clinician for rare causes of hemoptysis of cognition. Methods We analyzed 1 cases of massive hemoptysis cases, by surgery and pathology clearly diagnosed as pulmonary hamartoma in our hospital recently.Summarized, analyzed the other cases in this paper, and review of the literature. Results Pulmonary hamartoma could cause hemoptysis, even massive hemoptysis, clinicians were easy to overlook.Depending on the history and imaging examination to make a preliminary diagnosis were difficult, unless there was a typical image change, surgical resection was the most effective way of diagnosis and treatment. Conclusions Hemoptysis is the most common clinical symptoms in the Department of respiration.It is also an emergency in the Department of respiration.Some rare causes are easily overlooked or misdiagnosed.Pulmonary hamartoma is one of them.
