Abstract

Achieving high level of chemo- and regioselectivity has been the Achilles’ heel of organic synthesis. The selectivity of aza-Michael addition to pull-pull β-oxohalo enoates has been studied. Theoretical and synthetic aspects of the selectivity of these reactions are discussed.
