Abstract

Abstract Writing a scientifically sound manuscript in one’s mother tongue is difficult. This difficulty increases for authors writing in their second or third language. In English-language publishing, beyond writers’ grasp of the English language, cultural differences may be of concern, given that journals in different languages might follow distinct rules and logic. Therefore, for non-native English speakers, learning the proper rules of English scientific writing may be useful for publishing sound and logical articles. Herein, we summarize highlights of sound scientific writing for non-native English speakers, to help them smoothly transform their ideas into words.
