Abstract

Over the course of a year, ICI issue many Technical Information sheets. These are colour coded for easy filing, and are numbered for quick reference. They have now produced an index for the sheets, using the same colour coding system. The index sheets are separate, so that they can be filed in front of the set of notes to which they apply. There are 24 classifications to date, including dyeing, pigments for printing inks and paints, food colours, organic chemicals, flocculating agents and oil‐soluble colours. Each index sheet lists the notes that are available in that section both by number and by the full title. Other marginal notes are included, such as if the sheet is in metric units, or if it is now out of print.
