Abstract

In Croatia, there have lately been growingly frequent discussions on advantages of clusters as a networking method for strengthening competitive advantage and as a need to increase the quality of our total export. The European Commission has pointed to the importance of integrated management of the destination quality. However, Croatia lacks sufficient knowledge on networking and integrated quality in tourism; the real quality management (in tourism) based on European models has just been getting its swing. This paper provides an insight into the theoretical base of three elementary concepts: quality, clusters and integrated quality management. Moreover, it shows possibilities and advantages of implementing integrating model as an efficient method to reach and keep the overall quality of tourist destinations through a case study and author’s proposal of integration and partnership model in a destination.
