Abstract
Collaboration between subject matter experts in the field of geriatric medicine and healthcare architecture is crucial for our future in caring for the U.S. aging society. Using the Evidence Based Design (EBD) approach, this presentation will address the importance of providing homelike, residential environments for the care of the elderly and those with dementia in addition to implementing new technology to improve the quality of elderly care.
