[Editor's note: The following article continues the account of Dr. George Moore's experiences as a public health officer in Nepal in the early 1950s. The first installment appeared in the July/August 2005 issue of Public Health Reports. This is not the first time Dr. Moore has written for PHR; he also authored articles that appeared in the Journal in 1953,1954, 1957, and 1963.
