Public Bads and Socio-Moral Reasoning: The Case of the New Social Movements in Germany

Abstract

Drawing on survey data from Germany and arguments from social choice theory, we propose to take a fresh look at the rise of social movements as exemplified by the emergence of the New Social Movements (NSM) in Germany, e.g., the peace movement or the ecological movement.
