Abstract

As one of the promising schemes, partial transmit sequence (PTS) provides an effective solution for peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction in single-input single-output (SISO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). Moreover, in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) OFDM, PTS scheme is also adopted. However, large numbers of IFFTs are needed in conventional PTS (cPTS), resulting in large computational complexity. In this paper, by employing the properties of IFFT, low complexity IFFTs are used for reducing computational complexity of cPTS in SISO/MIMO OFDM systems. Simulation results show that, compared with cPTS, the proposed scheme can obtain much lower computational complexity with the same PAPR reduction performance.
