Abstract
From the analysis of 17 zooplankton samples, taken in the Gulf of Guayaquil, from 4 cruises corresponding to May 1973, February 1978, March 1982 and November 1983; 5 species of Pteropods and 2 of Heteropods were found, which are: Creseis chierchiae, C. virgula, C. acicula, Limacina trochiformis. L. inflata, Atlanta gaudichaudi and A. lesueuri.A general morphological description of the organism is given, highlighting its most important taxonomic characteristics of the species and are complemented with some ecological preferences of each one of them.a map with the stations of the different cruises and two tables showing the position and presence of the species in the different years are presented.
