Abstract

Køppe, S.: Psychoanalysis and socialisation. Nordisk Psykolgi, 1986, 38(3), 194–209. The article is based on an historical analysis of freudian-marxist theories. Three main problems are selected—the inner nature of the subject, the definition of work and the question of emancipation. An integrated solution to the three problems is presented and discussed in the framework of a psychoanalytical theory of socialisation, based on psychoanalysis and historical materialism. The discussion presents a division of the subject into an adaptive and a psychosexual register, in which both are related to three sociological spheres—the sphere of production, the sphere of circulation and the sphere of intimacy.
