Abstract
<i>Psycho-Social Help to War Victims</i>focuses on practical issues in implementing and operating programs for treatment and rehabilitation of woman and child victims of multiple trauma and rape in Bosnia-Herzegovina who became refugees in Croatia. The book is largely a collection of short reports by professional and nonprofessional members of the treatment and rehabilitation teams. It is, I believe, a report to the Rehabilitation and Research Center for Torture Victims, that remarkable and famous independent humanitarian, nonpolitical organization in Copenhagen, Denmark. This book precedes the publication of a research book based on the measurement scales collected in this project. <i>Psycho-Social Help to War Victims</i>should be read by people concerned about programs for women and children who in war are victims of rape, torture, violence, and displacement and how a multidisciplinary team works in the field.
