Abstract

The article analyses the high professional activity emotional tension of a modern Russian higher school teacher, intensive work pace, new technologies introduction in the educational process, communication complication with students in the conditions of digitalisation and informatisation, which create the basis for mental tension of pedagogical work. The author presents theoretical material about the modern educational environment of higher school, where all educational interaction subjects, especially teachers, are subject to serious organisational and managerial transformations, socio-psychological and psychophysiological nature. Psychophysical health state of a modern teacher as the professional efficiency base is a condition for the educational process quality in a higher education institution. Competitiveness, creativity, readiness for innovative activity and other psychological qualities of teachers directly depend on the state of their mental health. The article reflects that the modern pedagogical profession is exposed to unfavourable factors that deform psychophysical and professional health. Personal qualities of a teacher, their psychological and emotional well-being are the basis for positive and effective interactions with students. Education management in modern conditions should include increasing the staff potential and optimising subject to subject relations «teacher to student». The application of various health promotion technologies in the educational process allows to increase the teaching activity effectiveness, as a consequence, to improve the state of teacher psychophysical health as an integral part of the educational services quality. The author shows that the psychological teachers readiness for effective professional activity implementation includes the improvement of health culture and is manifested at the psychoemotional, cognitive, psychophysical and value-motivational levels. It is necessary to increase the motivation level of teaching staff to preserve individual psychophysical health in the educational process. Formation of health culture to improve professional performance will allow to increase the efficiency and teaching activity effectiveness in the conditions of Russian higher education transformation
