Abstract

Relationships between speech features and mental health disorders have previously been reported; however, few studies focused on anxiety despite its high prevalence in the general population. Our objective was to examine the relationship between speech features and anxiety using the Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) scale. We also explored the two-factor structure of the GAD-7 to determine if cognitive-affective and somatic aspects of anxiety provided added insight.
