Abstract
Objective To investigate the psychological,personality,behavioral characteristics of patients with primary angle-closure glaucoma(PACG).Methods Fifty-three cases of PACG patients(including 28 acute PACG cases,25 chronic PACG cases)and 54 cases of normal,use Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS),Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ)and Type-A Behavior Questionnaire(TABQ)to investigate and evaluate,respectively,and analysis of the results by one sample T test,OneWay ANOVA analysis,x2 test and correlation analysis.Results Ⅰ.There was significant statistical difference in total scores ofanxiety value(SAS=42.85±7.30),Psychoticism(P=49.33±9.05),Time and Hurry (TH=15.23±3.24),Competition and Hostilivy(CH=15±3.51)and TH+CH(TH+CH=30.55±5.97)between group of PACG patients and normal group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Ⅱ.There was significant statistical difference in scores of SAS between Acute PACG group and normal group(P<0.01):the differences of Psychoticism(P)and TH+CH between normal group and acute PACG group as well as chronic PACG group were statistical significantly(P(0.05 orP<0.01):the differences of Neuroticism(N)of EPQ Personality between chronic PACG group and acute PACG group as well as normal group were statistical significantly(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Ⅲ.The proportion of Type-A behavior of TABQ scale between PACG group and the normal group has statistitally significant according to Chi-squae test(x2=10.912,P=0.028<0.05).IV.The SDS,CH,TH,TH+CH were correlated with SAS in PACG group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The SAS,TH,CH,TH+CH all were no correlated with P value of EPQ(P>0.05).Conclusions The patients with PACG have significantly tendency of anxiety,Psychoticism,and Type-A behavior.
