Abstract
As a result of the timely investment, during the Covid-19 pandemic, by Scottish Government in Psychological Therapies for the Workforce, staff in Scotland have had access to interventions and therapy to support their mental health and wellbeing. Funding the service was a clear statement about the value placed on workforce mental health and wellbeing. The service has consistently shown good outcomes and positive feedback. There are strong positive indications, from qualitative feedback and Board data on work status, that the service is contributing in terms of retaining staff and preventing prolonged sickness absence. As we move further from the pandemic demand for the service grows, and plenty more remains to be done to support the workforce. This is a service worthy of further investment.
