Abstract

Introduction. The fulfillment of the tasks of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the field of rapid response, management of coordination and control of actions in emergency situations of a man-made and natural nature is largely determined by the personal qualities of the employees of the units, the degree of their readiness for self-regulation, the mobilization of internal resources to carry out activities in extreme situations. The increased influence of stress factors leads to a decrease in the quality of work, psycho-emotional stress, the risk of negative violations of the psychological state of the employee. As a result, one of the most important aspects that require study is to identify the correlation between the level of psychological readiness for professional activity and the characteristics of the psycho-emotional state of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Materials and methods. The study sample is represented by employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations units in the amount of 94 people. All respondents were male, the age of the study participants was from 20 to 43 years. Basic statistical calculations were performed using correlation analysis of nonparametric data using the Spearman rank correlation test; the Mann-Whitney U test was used to assess differences in parameter values. The main results of the study. Statistically significant correlations were identified between indicators of psychological readiness for professional activity and indicators of psycho-emotional states (at p≤0.05): attitude towards management and well-being (r=0.219), satisfaction with communication in the team and activity (r=0.219), energy and satisfaction with internal communication in the team (r=0.234), a sense of recognition and reward for success at work and energy (r=0.248), satisfaction with processes and regulations in the organization and emotional elation (r=0.219), satisfaction with remuneration and a sense of confidence (r= 0.207), the ability to restructure one’s plans and actions and personal anxiety (r=-0.223); a connection was found between the indicators (at p≤0.01): feelings of recognition and reward for success at work and the general indicator of emotional state (r=0.284), evaluation of results and situational anxiety (r=-0.282). Conclusions. The identified connection between psychological readiness for professional activity and the characteristics of the psycho-emotional state of employees of the units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia can serve as the basis for the development of technologies for professional and psychological training of specialists operating in extreme situations.
