Abstract

Article deals with the problem of the student’s attitudes towards the academic and the psychological factors associated with it.The fact of the heterogeneity of students within the university and the academic groups by the indicators of tolerance to academic dishonesty was revealed, this suggests that significant influence on the manifestations of academic integrity has not only external (social and organizational) factors but also psychological individual factors. Understanding these internal factors of tolerance for academic opens the way to use not only administrative methods in the struggle for academic integrity of students but also the psychological and pedagogical methods. The author’s questionnaire “Tolerance to Academic Dishonesty” was used for the first time; it allowed determining the tolerance of students towards the separate key indicators of academic and as a result, to assess their general level of the tolerance to academic as high, middle or low. Empirically, the hypothesis about the existence of a link between the self-esteem, the aspirations level and the tolerance to academic of the students was tested and confirmed. The students with a low level of aspiration and self-esteem are more likely to be more tolerance to dishonesty.
