Abstract
Convergent developments across social scientific disciplines provide evidence that ritual is apsychologically prepared, culturally inherited, behavioral trademark of our species. In this context The aim of this research is to see Psychological and social functions of religious rituals. this research found the following results: - Rituals are useful to the groups who perform them because they function as mechanismsof social cohesion and foster the longevity of social groups. religious rituals lead To demonstrating commitment to in-group values. - are often culturally prescribed remedies for a variety of maladies, and especially those related to Psychological health ; also had provided a solution to the problem of health crises.
