Abstract

Philosophical anthropology is a part of philosophy, along with social philosophy, philosophical aesthetics and philosophy of culture. One kind of question which can be raised in these areas is metaphysical in nature: “What is man?” A second kind of question has its origin in the positive sciences and investigates the formal methodological or the conceptual analytic aspects of actual procedures. In this light philosophical anthropology is no more than a theory of the contemporary human sciences.
