Abstract
HBOC is a tumor susceptibility syndrome caused by a germline pathogenic variant of tumor suppressor gene BRCA1 or BRCA2. Hereditary tumors due to pathogenic variants in a single gene account for 5-10% of all cancers, and HBOC can be a model for the future management of hereditary tumors. The reasons for this are as follows.
