Abstract

The most common HPV-related cancers are cervical cancer and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), especially oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC). The recent study demonstrated that the prevalence of cervical cancer in Thailand has been declining over time, likely due to the National Cervical Cancer Screening program initiated since 2005. In April 2020, the new national cervical cancer screening paradigm shifted to a primary HPV DNA test instead of a cervical smear to screen the Thai target population.
