Abstract
In Japan there are serious problems in the system of clinical research especially in supportive and palliative care. The main reason is that there is no stipulated guideline. The methodology of clinical research in supportive and palliative care is different from that in medical oncology field in terms of the style of multidisciplinary approaches, study design, and endpoints. To provide enough information for researchers, it is necessary to make rule guideline of both general remarks and detailed exposition.
