Abstract
While the indications that are reimbursed for RAS in Japan have expanded from only prostatectomy in 2012, and nephrectomy in 2016 to 21 procedures at present, there is limited information as to what extent RAS has been adopted since its introduction. Our aim in this study is to explore the historical adoption trend of robot assisted surgery in Japan using a Japanese claims database.
