Psoriasis is a chronic, complex, multifactorial inflammatory disease that affects both sexes equally. The mean age of onset in women is around 28 years, and 75% of female patients develop psoriasis before they are 40 years old, meaning that the majority of women are in their childbearing years at the time of diagnosis..
